2024 - 2025
January 10, 2025
Hi Families!
We had a fantastic week at school! One of the highlights was our soft rollout of the peer mentorship program, which is going amazing! We’re excited to fully roll it out next week. Looking ahead, we have a few field trips on deck, 5th grade and kindergarten, so please make sure to check the details for those. We also want to invite all families to join us for the next WFK meeting on Tuesday, January 14th, at 6:15 PM at Kegonsa. Childcare will be provided, so we hope to see you there! It looks like a snowy weekend ahead. Wishing everyone a fun, warm, and safe weekend, and we can’t wait to see our kiddos back on Monday!

🎉 Exciting News: Peer Mentoring Program Launched!
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Peer Mentoring Program at the elementary level, featuring 53 incredible Peer Mentors from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades! This program is designed to build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and strengthen classroom communities. Peer Mentors develop valuable skills like communication and problem-solving while making a positive impact, and mentees benefit from extra support with schoolwork, social skills, and emotional well-being. We’re so proud of our student leaders and can’t wait to see the positive ripple effects throughout our school! We hope this is just the beginning of a vibrant community and would love to give as many kids as we can in our upper grades the opportunity to be a leader!

Now that we’re back, K-2 has been learning how to draw symmetrical hearts while 3-5 have primed their sculptures and are onto painting!
