Principal Office Updates
IAR TESTING NEXT WEEK
Students will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) tests next week, an important measure of their skills in English Language Arts and Math. To do their best, it's crucial that they get plenty of rest each night and eat a healthy breakfast before testing. A well-rested mind and nourished body help with focus, stamina, and overall performance. Please ensure your child arrives on time and is ready to give their best effort. Let’s set them up for success!
The IAR Parent Letter can be found here.
COMMUNITY BOOK STUDY
Many of you have heard about our community book study. Don't worry if you haven't participated in the other meetings; come and join the conversation! This session will focus on the collective action we can take as a community.
This is not just for students old enough to have a phone; this is for parents/grandparents of kids of all ages. Our last meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 19th! Register using this link: https://forms.gle/uXCYfTHYG3rMaY6E9

Let's Get to School on Time
In the last few weeks, we have noticed increased numbers of students arriving tardy to school. Please remember that if a student arrives after 7:40, they need to be dropped off at Door 1 and will be considered tardy.
Students who are late to school lose the chance to connect with classmates during Anchor, receive information from morning announcements, and start the school day off in a calm, collected manner.
If you need help encouraging your student to get up and ready in the morning and arrive on time, please reach out to Mrs. Hummel (hhummel@saltcreek48.org)
School Supply Refresh
It's the time of year when students are starting to run low on regularly used supplies. Please take some time this weekend to check that your student has all the supplies they need including pencils and a working accordion folder. Many students have broken folders and do not bring a pencil with them from class to class.
5Essentials Survey for Parents
We want to hear from you! Each year, our staff, parents, and students take the 5Essentials Survey to show us how we are doing. This feedback is extremely helpful for us to make improvements as a school. Please take the 5 Essentials Survey before March 28th. You should take this survey for each school you have students attending, and not just once for the district.
The image below shows the improvement Albright has made over the past three years on the 5Essentials Survey, and we are hoping to rate all green for the 2024-25 school year. We were only a point or two away from that last year and are excited to see this year's results.
Drop-off Window: 7:35 - 7:43am Pick Up Time: 2:28pm

Drop-off Window: 7:35 - 7:43am Pick Up Time: 2:28pm
*After 7:43am, the back doors are closed and students should be dropped off at the Main Office on Villa Avenue. For student drop-off and pickup, please park in the spots on Harrison Avenue by our soccer field. If you plan to drop-off and go, please let your student out at the southwest corner of Harrison Avenue & Myrtle Drive, while driving westbound on Harrison Avenue. For safety reasons, do not turn around on Myrtle Avenue, especially when buses are unloading students. We appreciate your support as keeping our students safe is our priority.

FTC is excited to feature Math & Magic with John Railing, a demonstration of drones by Albright 6th graders, plus we will be joined by the Naperville Astronomy Association, Villa Park Public Library, DuPage Children's Museum, Redcarpet Palace Crystal Jewels, and more! Please note that this is not a drop off event. A parent or guardian must stay with the students.
What has FTC funded recently?
As a result of the wonderful support we've had for all of our events, fundraisers and dine outs this year FTC has been able to fund several requests. The most recent of which have been yearbooks for all 1st, 4th and 8th graders, a field trip for K and 1st grade to the DuPage Children's Museum and a new music stand rack for the Albright orchestra! We also funded part of last week's 8th grade field trip to Springfield. Thank you for continuing to support FTC!
