Kinder Round Up for 2025-2026 School Year

We are eager to meet our future Elrod Eagles! Soar on over for Kinder Round Up on Monday, January 27th from 4:30-5:30 pm. Families will have an opportunity to receive assistance with online registration, meet your future teachers, view a video on the day in the life of a kindergartner at Elrod, take a tour of the school and explore a kinder classroom. A future Eagle selfie station will be available along with a light refreshment. Our school nurse will also be available to assist with medical questions.

Elrod parents, we encourage you to share this information with your neighbors in our Elrod attendance area that may have a child eligible for kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. To be eligible for kindergarten in 2025-2026, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025. If you have any questions, please call 210-397-1800.

Elrod Choir and Strings Winter Performance a Success

A special thank you to our music teacher Mrs. Nesmith and our Elrod Choir & Strings students for putting on an amazing holiday program. Showcasing the students' talent was the perfect way to put us in the holiday spirit.

What Brings You Joy?

The Holiday Season is the perfect time to reflect on the things in our lives that bring us true joy. Our 4th graders took the time to write down what brings them joy such as their pets, their family and friends.

We're Halfway There Rally!

The UTSA cheerleaders with Rowdy the Roadrunner mascot, brought a burst of energy to Elrod this month as we celebrated the incredible progress our students have made during the first half of the school year. The cheerleaders led the students in spirited cheers and a dance-off between Rowdy and Regal the Eagle, our school mascot. The pep rally was a fantastic way to boost school spirit and motivate our Eagles to continue working hard in the second half of the year!
