Looking Forward to the Second Quarter
Hello parents and families,
It has been a wonderful start to the 2023-24 school year. We are entering the second quarter with students who are displaying ingenuity in science, crafting their language skills through essay writing and discussions in English and Social Studies, practicing perseverance in math as they encounter high-level questioning, developing their Spanish language skills in reading, writing and speaking, and staying in top physical shape in PE. We are proud of the growth we have seen this past nine weeks. Check out the sports photos featured throughout this newsletter, starting with our girls soccer team. They finished their WARM season with a 6-2 record and made it to the district semi-final game. We are so proud of our student-athletes.
Here are some general school reminders with links for easy reference:
- Clear bag protocol will be enforced at all after-school public events. Please plan accordingly and view this link for further details. Please share with your family members so they are also aware.
- FJH school dress code
- Mesa Public School Code of Conduct
This next quarter will get busy with games, concerts, and holiday events. We look forward to sharing these experiences with your students and family.
Thank you for a positive first quarter.
Warmly,
Mr. Abrams & Mrs. Moya

You Shaped the Future...
Three of our teachers, Mr. Vanyek, Ms. Abdelhaq, and Mr. Young, received You Shaped the Future awards from a graduating senior. These teachers were said to have "the most positive effect on their education." We appreciate all of our teachers, and love hearing from former students about the positive impact that they have had in our students' lives.
