Issue #2
“Where faith soars, minds excel, and futures ignite”
Greetings STM-STC Families,
First and foremost, thank you for your patience and flexibility with the new school year and the changes in dismissal. This has been an ongoing issue, with many different methods of trying to fix it. When one side starts to look like we have turned a corner with flow, the other side starts to have issues. We will continue to adjust and figure out the best way for dismissal to occur. I also ask that all parents/guardians remain level headed during drop off and pick up. We are all one family, and cutting people off, or getting angry at staff/other families does nothing to help the problem. At the end of the day, the goal is to get the children here and into the building safely, and then get them home safely. If you find yourself getting upset, say a little prayer.
Secondly, the most important survey of the year is attached below. This survey needs a 100% completion rate! This survey is what determines what aide and financial support we get in the future from the AOB, the State of Maryland, and even the Federal Govt. at times. This survey will be in the chatter for the next few weeks, but it would be wonderful if we were at 100% completion by the end of next week.
Field trips are already starting to get put on the calendar for various grade levels. It is a requirement that ALL grades take at least one field trip this year. Trips that cost more money, we will offer payment plans for, like the Middle School trip to see Noah. While we try to keep costs of trips down, transportation costs are the biggest hurdle currently. Even the trips that are free, will at least carry a transportation fee.
Lastly, it is almost time for our first major fundraiser of the year, Chocolate. This year we will be awarding The Saint Nick Scholarship to the student who sells the most boxes of chocolate. Last year, after prizes were dealt out, the school made almost $20,000! This was our biggest money maker in 23/24. Our four big fundraisers are important to the continued success of our school.
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp

Saint Michael the Archangel isn't a saint, but rather he is an angel, and the leader of all angels and of the army of God. This is what the title "Archangel" means, that he is above all the others in rank.
Redemptorist preacher and reformer. Clement preached, built orphanages and schools, and established a vast Redemptorist presence in the city.
