Ottawa Book Fair - May 8th through May 12th
Hello Ottawa Families,
The Media Center is hosting a Book Fair this spring from May 8 - May 12. The book fair will be during the school day. Once the fair is set up, classrooms will have an opportunity to browse the fair and students can create wishlists with the items they would like, with the prices (there is a 6% sales tax on all items). They can then bring home their wishlist and discuss the items with a parent or guardian, calculate how much it will cost, and bring the money to school with them when it is time for their classrooms to shop.
If sending a student to school with cash or checks is not a likely option, Scholastic offers eWallet, which acts like a gift card. Once you create an eWallet account, it will save and students will let someone know when they’re checking out. eWallet sign up can be found on the fair homepage, or you can sign up with the wishlist students created.
If you would like to volunteer, or have any questions, more information can be found on the fair homepage. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/ottawaelementaryschool or you can contact me through email: sysko.mj.d@northmen.org
Thank you for supporting our students and library!
