It is hard to believe it is the last full month of school. There are so many things happening this month! Please be on the lookout for announcements in Thursday folders, as well as from your child's teachers.

This month all students, kindergarten through 5th grade, will be completing NWEA testing. Please make sure to touch base with classroom teachers for more information about your child's testing schedule.

Next week is Teacher/Staff Appreciation. PTO is sponsoring lunch on Wednesday May 10th. If you would like to help/volunteer to bring in items for the lunch, please click the link below to sign up.

Kindergarten registration is open. Please click the link below to visit the PSP enrollment webpage. This month we will be having Kindergarten Round Up and invites will be sent out this week. Spread the word to everyone you know that might have incoming Kindergarten students! Now is the time to register! Don't wait until the last minute! We can't wait to meet our new Kindergarten students.

The Media Center is hosting a Book Fair this spring from May 8 - May 12. The book fair will be during the school day. Once the fair is set up, classrooms will have an opportunity to browse the fair and students can create wishlists with the items they would like, with the prices (there is a 6% sales tax on all items). They can then bring home their wishlist and discuss the items with a parent or guardian, calculate how much it will cost, and bring the money to school with them when it is time for their classrooms to shop.

If sending a student to school with cash or checks is not a likely option, Scholastic offers eWallet, which acts like a gift card. Once you create an eWallet account, it will save and students will let someone know when they’re checking out. eWallet sign up can be found on the fair homepage, or you can sign up with the wishlist students created.

This month we will be collecting coins again to donate to Project Alive to support research development in MPS II, also known as Hunter syndrome. See the flyer below.

Our coin collection will begin on Monday, May 8th and will end on Friday, May 12th.

Monday, May 15th is MPS Awareness Day. We will wear purple to show awareness and support for MPS.

The Ottawa Talent Show is an exciting time for students. Please see the registration form below. The deadline to register is Thursday, May 25th.

Ottawa Kindergarten students Celebrate the last 26 days of school with the Backwards Alphabet Countdown. Here are a few fun pictures of Y day. We celebrated letter Y by wearing yellow and having fun with Baby Yoda!
