What's Happening in School?
Inferencing in 4th Grade
Last week, Mrs. Hatch, Mrs. Fels, and Miss Kurey taught our students all about inferencing by creating a crime scene.
Mrs. Dupuis went missing and Mr. Krause was very concerned about the school with Mrs. Dupuis gone. He went searching for her in 4th grade and the students began using context clues to work through the crime scene.
The children had a great time working together to determine who kidnapped Mrs. Dupuis! Some of the suspects included Mrs. Humphrey's, Mrs. Partyka, and Mrs. VanLaningham!

Attendance Awareness Month
September is Attendance Awareness Month, and to celebrate, we’re kicking off a fun competition for a chance to win 5 GOLDEN TICKETS! Each grade level will compete for the highest attendance percentage throughout the month. We’ll keep everyone updated by posting weekly percentage scores in the hallway and announcing them on the morning broadcast. At the end of the month, the grade level with the BEST ATTENDANCE percentage will win 5 GOLDEN TICKETS for every classroom! With these golden tickets, classrooms get to enjoy a "party" of their choice!
Good luck to all grade levels! We’re excited to see who will come out on top!

Teacher Shout Outs
Mrs. McLaughlin shared a shout out this week about our wonderful social worker, Miss Giannelli!
Mrs. Giannelli greets the walkers each and every morning with a smile, cheerful 'hello' using all the student's first names, and some fun music to enjoy! Her enthusiasm and positivity sets up the students for a successful day. Mrs. Giannelli even knows the names of siblings -- future Spring Trail students. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Giannelli at Spring Trail!
We second that compliment....We are so lucky to have her here at Spring Trail!

OCEAN IN A BOTTLE
On Wednesday September 4th, over 240 students signed up to create an Ocean in Bottle with us for our first PBIS event. Below are some pictures of the event!
Fun math fact for all of you about this event; students needed 5 PAWs to participate in this event. That means over 1,200 PAWs were awarded to all these students that participated in this event! What does this mean? Well at Spring Trail, we have an amazing amount of students that understand what it means to R.O.A.R on a daily basis to make Spring Trail a wonderful place to come and learn while having fun!
