Dear CES SHARKS & Friends,

It seems hard to believe that we are entering the final week of October. This week we have our annual Halloween Parade on Wednesday afternoon. Please join us at 4:00 in the parking lot of the Chatham Recreation Department in costume and with a bag/bucket to collect treats. All children should be accompanied by an adult. Our parade starts at the Rec Department and travels along Main Street to Chatham Bars Inn Ave crosses to the other side of Main Street and then back to the Rec Dept. We look forward to seeing you and your families for this annual tradition.

Please call the Main Office at 508-945-5135 or use Pick Up Patrol to report student absences. Our classroom teachers are often unable to check their email prior to the start of school and the Main Office and Nurse's Office don't learn of the email before they begin calling home. Contacting the Main Office or using Pick Up Patrol are the best ways to inform the school of an absence.

The CES PTO held their first meeting on Tuesday, October 22nd. All parents are invited to join us for our PTO meetings and participate in the many events over the course of the school year. Coming soon are the Halloween Parade our annual holiday movie during the Chatham Stroll in December.

This year's president is Jennifer Coffey and vice president is Rebecca Hobek. America Lesh will serve as secretary and Deb Gebhardt is our treasurer. In an effort to increase attendance and PTO participation we will have door prizes at our meetings. Come with a friend and earn tickets for your student's class. We will also have an area set aside for children if you need to bring your school-aged children with you.

The next meeting is on Tuesday, November 19th at 6:00pm in the Media Center. There will also be a Zoom link to join the meeting virtually.

Ms. Kidd's Inktober challenge is going strong. Each day our Shark artists submit their ink drawings for the daily prompt. We invite you to join us in the daily challenge and please send in your own submissions via backpack mail if you would like to share your talent with our entire community. Everybody is an ARTIST at CES!
