School Information

Introducing Ms. Elaine Cannefax, Social Worker

As Pine Ridge Prep's school social worker, Ms. Cannefax is committed to improving the academic success and social-emotional development of all of our students. She is a key link between school staff, family at home, and community resources. Ms. Cannefax works closely with school and home teams to help develop discipline policies, mental health intervention strategies, and crisis management support and services.


The following are ways Ms. Cannefax supports students, staff, and families at Pine Ridge Prep.

  • Provide Direct Services for Children with Disabilities
  • Complete Psychosocial Evaluations
  • Provide Functional Behavioral Assessments
  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Provide Individual and Group counseling
  • Design Crisis prevention and intervention
  • Provide parent education and training
  • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations
  • Provide program coordination and review policy development

School Day Hours

Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Arrival begins: 8:30 a.m.

Arrival ends: 8:45 a.m. (students will be considered tardy after 8:50 a.m.)

Dismissal begins: 3:30 p.m.

Dismissal ends: 3:45 p.m. (all students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m.)


Late Start Fridays (every Friday): 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Arrival begins: 9:30 a.m.

Arrival ends: 9:45 a.m. (students will be considered tardy after 9:50 a.m.)

Dismissal begins: 3:30 p.m.

Dismissal ends: 3:45 p.m. (all students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m.)


Before the first day of school, you will receive a newsletter that explains the arrival and dismissal procedures.

Late Start Fridays

Late Start is on FRIDAYS for this school year and the arrival time will be at 9:30.
