BPS Focus for Parents and Students
We encourage all parents to set up their Focus account. This platform will be essential for you to communicate with us, view your child's grades, and stay informed about important happenings at school. Together, we can support our students in their educational journey! Please note that PBA does not issue paper report cards. If you need your parent portal pin, you must come to school and speak with Ms. Sabrina for your copy. Unfortunately, no pin numbers can be provided over the telephone. Thank you for your understanding!
CHARTER STUDENT INITIAL LOGIN PROCESS FOR BPS FOCUS
Students will access FOCUS via the URL
https://brevardk12.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus
Students will log in with the username StudentNumber@ST.Brevardschools.org
a. E.g. 1234567@st.brevardschools.org
b. Students who transfer from BPS to a charter school going forward will keep their BPS password. But they need to enroll in the self-service piece.
Student initial passwords will be their last name, in all caps, followed by "-ch" in all lowercase, followed by the school number, with no spaces anywhere in the initial password.
a. E.g. John smith, attending charter school number 6501: SMITH-ch6501
Upon logging in, students will be required to set a fresh password. Student passwords should be unique and no student should know another student's password. Passwords are not to be shared.
Upon logging in, students must register for self-service password reset if they wish to be able to unlock their own accounts. Registration is found at
https:aka.ms/ssprsetup
If students need to unlock or reset their passwords, this can be done at Microsoft Online Password Reset
The BPS help desk cannot help with charter school student passwords. People calling in for help with charter student passwords must be redirected back to the self-service options outlined here. If you encounter an issue with a student resetting their password via the self-service password reset option, contact Donna Moore at

Introducing Student of The Month
Student of the Month is an award or recognition given to a student who has demonstrated exceptional performance or behavior during a specific month. This recognition typically celebrated a student's achievements in areas such as academics, leadership, positive attitude, good citizenship, and participation in school activities. The student is usually chosen based on criteria set by the school, and the goal is to encourage and reward students who consistently put forth their best effort and serve as role models to their peers.

PBA Ambassador
Student Ambassadors are students selected to represent their school in various capacities, often acting as leaders, role models, and liaisons between the student body, staff, and visitors. Their responsibilities may include welcoming new students, giving school tours, assisting at school events, and promoting school spirit and involvement. These ambassadors are often chosen for their strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and ability to communicate effectively. They serve as the face of the school in certain situations and are typically involved in helping create a positive, inclusive environment for all students. Being a Student Ambassador is seen as an honor and provides opportunities for personal growth and leadership development.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Since 2004, the President of the United States and Congress have declared October to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month, time dedicated for the public and private sectors to work together to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.
Over the years it has grown into a collaborative effort between government and industry to enhance cybersecurity awareness, encourage actions by the public to reduce online risk, and generate discussion on cyber threats on a national and global scale.
