Middle North Weekly News
October 18, 2024
Dear Middle North Families,
While we only had a four-day week, our students and teacher were busy with learning, exploring, and having fun! Our 6th grade students are researching Mesopotamia and the beginning of earliest civilizations; Our 7th graders are finishing their first novel of the year with The Giver; and our 8th graders welcomed in the cooler fall weather with a hand-warmer investigation. We concluded our week with a "Pink-Out" to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month .
Be on the look out for all of the exciting things to occur next week: Red Ribbon Week, Parent/Teacher Conferences Sign-Up, and MSN Mania! Please see below for more details.
Enjoy this wonderful weekend ahead!
Sincerely,
Ms. Waggoner & Ms. Porzel

Lost and Found
Our lost and found closet is growing by the day with sweatshirts, jackets, shoes, and other personal belongings. If your student has misplaced an item, they need to check the lost and found area in the cafeteria. Any items still left after conferences on November 26th will be donated to a local shelter.
No Phones
Please remind your child, no phones at school. According to our Student Handbook, phones must be powered off and out of sight throughout the entire school day. They can be turned back on once school is over.
If students need to contact parents, office phones are available. Phones seen during the school day may be confiscated by a staff member and kept in the office until the end of the day. These expectations also apply to smartwatches.
