JV news from the residents point of view
Highlights from the September 16 City council meeting
Attached is the link to view the action report showing what was passed at the meeting.
A few highlights:
- Council members discussed the city requesting $22,000 for an architectural concept of the buildings purchased from Champion Forest church located across from the Fire station and off 290. Although the contractual purchase is not complete, the city is asking for money for remodeling projects.
- New car wash to be built at 15824 NW Freeway.
- Progress of the building off of Senate and 290 was presented.
During the meeting, a fellow JV resident presented information that is important to keep track of:
1. The Park and Recs mailed flier stated that the city has approved a new pool design and bond. This is not accurate information. The city residents have not approved a pool design yet are being asked to vote in November for a $10M bond to cover the rebuild.
2. The Equador Pedestrian bridge was approved to be a updated as a pedestrian bridge. The flier stated that it will be for golf carts as well. This is not accurate information.
