From the Principal
Dear Midland Families:
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year!
The staff at Midland have been working hard in preparation for an excellent start to this year. For those that do not know me, not only am I the principal at Midland, I am also a parent of a student at Midland. I want you all to know that our school is committed to our motto, "All students are capable of success. No exceptions.". This is something we start each day saying, and it's what the staff at Midland truly believe. We achieve this through explicit teaching of school wide expectations, differentiated instruction in our classrooms, using data to inform our instruction, and by providing a safe and positive school environment. Your students are the inspiration for our work and I look forward to partnering with you to help your student achieve success at Midland.
I am so excited for this school year, I can just feel that it's going to be a GREAT year. Please know that I welcome your communication, whether that is to share feedback, ask questions, share celebrations, or address concerns. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out - you can reach me by email at kfrederick@fpschools.org or by phone at 253-298-4501.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child/children each and every day!
It's great to be a MUSTANG!
- Ms. Frederick

Morning Drop Off Information
If you are a parent who is driving their child to school, here are some important items to consider:
- Please use the parent drop off zone in front of the school.
- Please follow the directions of the Safety Patrol on duty.
- Students can be dropped off between 8:40-8:50am.
- Students can pick up breakfast and go directly to class.
- Students need to be in class by 8:55, when the tardy bell rings.
- Students who arrive at or after 8:55 will have to have a parent come into the office to sign them in. *Please note that due to safety concerns, parents may not drop off late students to enter the building unsupervised. Parents must park, come into the office, and sign the student in with the time and reason for the tardy.
- After 5 tardies, a parent meeting with an administrator will be required.
Thank you in advance for understanding that our school day begins at 8:55 and students should be in their classrooms by that time.
