Skyline Elementary Newsletter
Dear Skyline Families,
This week our students in grades 3-5 completed their state testing and they wowed us with their effort and performance. They were ready to show us what they know and we can't wait to see the final results of their hard work next fall. Over the next several weeks, students in all grades will complete their end of year benchmarks. We look forward to seeing all of the growth they made over the course of the school year!
This week was also Staff Appreciation Week. We wanted to share a very heartfelt thank you to the PTO committee and all of the families that generously contributed to a wonderful week of feeling celebrated. The meals, treats, kind notes- they were all very appreciated! Your kindness and partnership means the world to us!
Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Birthdays and Party Invitations
Birthdays are important milestones in each child’s life. At Skyline, we look forward to sharing in the students’ excitement over their own special day. Each morning birthdays will be read over the announcements and students will be invited to come to select a book from the office to keep. Summer birthdays will be announced during the last week of school to ensure each student enjoys this special recognition during the school year.
If you would like to send a special treat or token for your child to pass out to classmates, please send only NON-EDIBLE tokens or treats to school. For example, your child could provide each student with a pencil. Classroom teachers may also offer other suggestions. We have several students at Skyline with life-threatening food allergies and edible treats will not be passed out.
Invitations to birthday parties and other events must be distributed away from the school grounds to students for out of school parties according to District policy.
