As we prepare to bid farewell to another school year, I encourage you to take time to celebrate your achievements, both big and small. Whether you've mastered a new concept, formed lasting friendships, or discovered a passion for a new hobby, each accomplishment is a testament to your hard work and dedication. As you embark on your summer break, I urge you to continue seeking opportunities for growth and learning. Whether it's through reading, exploring nature, or pursuing your interests, there are endless ways to expand your horizons and enrich your experiences.

I also want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our dedicated teachers, staff, and families who have supported you every step of the way. Your unwavering commitment to our school community has been instrumental in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

DSHS FFA Award Ceremony! These student out a lot of hard work and dedication into this program and it really showed last week with all the achievements that were met!

Our vibrant Asian and Science Olympiad club came together for a fun potluck! It was filled with delicious food, laughter, and most importantly, incredible talent showcased by our talented students!

We were thrilled to have many of our fellow teachers join us in celebrating our students' achievements. Thank you, Mr. Amballa and Ms. Manuel, for your dedication to DSHS!

Thank you to Ms. Miles, Mr. Braden and their talented students for an amazing Spring Concert! What a fantastic show!

Prom is this weekend!! We hope you ready to dress to impress at DSHS first ever prom! Prom tickets include appetizers, desserts, and free couples/individual pictures by Victor Moreno. The first 100 tickets purchased will receive an unlimited drink package—free soda all night long!

DSHS - Wildly Important Goal!

As a school, we have selected ONE Wildly Important Goal that we believe will encompass all that we do to help students prepare for their transition to adulthood. We believe that if every student, parent and teacher are all working toward this WILDLY important goal, that we will achieve it.

The Golden Hawk Wildly Important Goal: 100% of DSHS students will EARN all of their credits during the 23/24 school year.

What does that require from teachers, students and parents?

STUDENTS: Attend school each day, ready to learn with a charged laptop. Participate in class and turn in all assignments. Check StudentVUE regularly, and talk to your teachers if you notice your grades slipping.

PARENTS: Ensure that your child does the above and check ParentVue regularly. Talk with your child if their grades starts to slip and encourage dialogue with the teacher.

TEACHERS: Ensure that all students have access to engaging lessons each and every day. Post grades regularly. Give meaningful feedback to students on their assignments. Communicate with students and families.

Can you imagine the incredible outcomes we would have if we all committed to these things? I will continue to keep you updated on our goals and our collective commitment to your child.
