TexQuest Training Sessions

TexQuest training opportunities are coming to Service Centers soon! To learn more about these state-supported digital resources for K-12 students in Texas public and charter schools, sign up for these free workshops. Follow the registration links below to ESC websites for complete descriptions of these sessions.

These training opportunities are available to all public and charter school districts in Texas interested in learning about TexQuest digital resources.

Note: To attend a training session at a different ESC, you must create an account and register in the hosting ESC's registration system.

Continuing Education (CE) credit will be provided by ESC's for all TexQuest sessions.

Learn how TexQuest state-supported digital resources for K-12 public and open-enrollment charter school students help with college, career, and military connections. Explore resources from Gale/Cengage with magazine, newspaper, and even academic journal articles grouped by career area, as well as resources with features to support college level research and exploration. Information about Chilton Library, Gale’s automotive repair resource (with ASE test prep) will be included. Dig into the Learning Express resource from EBSCO. Find exam prep materials for AP, ACT, SAT, TSI, ASVAB, and many career certification exams. Learn how students can take interest and skills inventories, explore careers, write resumes and letters, and even search for colleges, scholarships, and jobs. Available materials include practice tests, eBooks, and tutorials for school and career success.

Join us for an informative and interactive session covering how these digital resources can be used to accommodate all students, including:

• Supplemental material, correlated to the TEKS, to support curriculum and differentiation
• Text to Speech features
• Translations for multiple languages
• Searches by content level and Lexile level

With simultaneous access to full text E-books, persistent links to articles and searches to share with students and parents, and more. TexQuest offers something for everyone.
