2024 AMP LIVESTOCK EXPO SPECIES BREAKOUT SESSIONS - APRIL 16TH
The AMP Livestock Expo is a platform where AMP students can gain knowledge and experience in actual production agriculture through the raising and exhibiting of a livestock animal. The possibility of raising a livestock project (goats, lambs, rabbits, or swine) is a fantastic way to get hands on skills in agriculture and is one of many ways a student can meet the goal of having a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) project in the AMP.
The AMP staff will be sharing information about the opportunity to raise and exhibit a livestock animal at the 2024 AMP Livestock Expo (generally known as the JV livestock program) through individual breakout sessions for goats, lambs, rabbits, and swine from 7:00PM to 7:55PM on Tuesday, April 16th in the AMP Complex. Students and parents/guardians will be able to attend two breakout sessions of their choice that evening.
We will post an informational presentation about the AMP Livestock Expo and all necessary documents on the AMP Livestock Expo website in the coming weeks (https://amplivestockexpo.weebly.com). Students and parents/guardians should view the informational presentation prior to attending the species breakout sessions on April 16th.
2024 AMP AWARDS APPLICATION
As we do at the end of each school year, the AMP recognizes student achievements from throughout the school year in many different areas.
The 2024 AMP Awards Application is now available for students to apply to 40 different award categories for recognition. For a student to be considered for any of the award categories, they must check the award area that they are applying for and briefly explain why they should receive the award. Students may apply for multiple award categories, however, must submit a separate award application for each category.
Award applications must be submitted online through the following link and are due by April 28, 2024: https://forms.gle/8gdzuC27bhe99S6E7.
Award winners will be recognized at the 2024 AMP Awards Gala on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
JAMES MADISON FFA BOOSTER CLUB
