More Than Sad Suicide Prevention Training for School Personnel
During this session, participants will be trained in The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's program called More Than Sad for school professionals. More Than Sad teaches educators to
recognize signs of mental health distress in students, identify suicide risk factors and warning signs, and refer a student for mental health support.
Question Persuade Refer Training
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. These are the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Training in QPR includes learning how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
*The cost for QPR training participant manual is $3.50 per participant.
This 4-hour presentation meets the criteria for Act 71
