Today kicks off San Juan Unified College Week
SJU is hosting a variety of in-person and on campus activities including:

Homecoming Guest Pass Applications for Non-BV students are now available in the front office. Completed applications are DUE Tuesday, October 8th by 3:30pm, NO EXCEPTIONS!
BV is competing against Del Campo for the Pink Link Fundraiser. Students can buy 1 link for $1 or 10 for $5. Students are encouraged to bring $1 to their 4th period this Friday where stud gov will collect donations. All money raised goes to the American Cancer Society. The paper chains from each campus will be measured against each other at the BV vs. DC Girls Flag Football Game on Thursday, 10/3. We will also have Venmo available that day and have Venmo codes in the halls. Teachers can donate also!
Are you looking to challenge yourself, work with a team and have a coach to set goals that you can achieve? Do you want to get in the best shape of your life? If you are interested at all then joining the BV Wrestling Team is for you. We have both a Girls Wrestling Team and a Boys Wrestling Team! For more info. go to room i-6 and talk to Coach Lane.
- The San Juan Unified College Night will be held Thursday, September 26, from 5:30 - 7:30pm at Rio Americano High School. Go to room A6 if you need a permission slip to ride the bus from BV to Rio.

- A big Thank You goes out to the BV Wrestling Team who participated in the American River Clean Up Project over the weekend picking up trash.
Last Week's BV Athletic Highlights
- Cross Country - preparing for FIRST CVC Meet 1 at Phoenix Park on 9/26. Go watch some great races.
- Field Hockey Beat Lassen; JV 1-0 and Varsity 3-0. JV Record 2-3; Varsity Record 4-1.
- Flag Football had two home games. JV lost to Rio Americano 6-0 (heartbreaker as they scored in the last seconds); JV lost to Inderkum. Varsity had two wins: 27-0 vs Rio Americano and 27-18 vs Inderkum. Varsity traveled to Mira Loma and won 13-0. JV Record 0-4-1, League 0-3; Varsity Record 6-3, League 2-1.
- Football had their BYE week and hoping to get healthy for the remainder of league games.

- Freshmen Record 0-3-1
- Girls Golf beat Rio Americano and Inderkum and lost to a strong Christian Brothers team. Annie Hong had a 2-under 34 vs Inderkum. League Record 2-1
- Girls Tennis lost to a strong Rio Americano team, #1 Golfer Kimia Ahmadi lost her match on two-tiebreakers and then the team lost a close one to Inderkum 4-5 with many of the matches going into tie-breakers.
- Girls Volleyball had two home matches. They lost to Rio Americano and Inderkum. Frosh Record 1-5, League 0-2; JV Record 0-6, League 0-2; Varsity Record 4-7, League 0-3.
- Water Polo competed vs Woodcreek.
- Varsity Boys lost in overtime 12-7. Record 3-6; League 1-1
- Varsity Girls lost a close one 9-7 Record 2-6; League 0-2
- JV Boys won 8-7. Record 2-5; League 1-1
- JV Girls won 13-2. Record 3-4; League 1-1

- Student/Parent Volunteers are needed for BV Arts & Craft Fair! Help is needed the day before and the day of. See the flyer for signups at the office student bulletin board or see Mrs. Sloan in the Library.
- The CCC has upcoming College & University Reps visiting. Interested students stop by the CCC to sign up for these presentations. Juniors/Seniors have priority. Students must sign up at least 24 hours in advanced. No last-minute walk-ins permitted.
