School Newsletter Term 3, Week 7
Friday 6th September 2024
Kia ora Koutou,
It’s been another busy and exciting time at school as we dive into rehearsals for the upcoming West End School Dance Festival. The energy and commitment from our dance groups are incredible, and we’re proud to see our students shine as they put their best foot forward. Best of luck to all involved – we can't wait to see their final performances!
The school council has also been hard at work this term. Their most recent meeting focused on how we can enhance student well-being across the school. They’ve come up with some fantastic initiatives that we’ll be looking to implement soon. It's always inspiring to see our young leaders in action, voicing the ideas and concerns of their peers and making a real difference.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent PTA Bingo Night! It was a fun-filled evening with laughter, friendly competition, and some great prizes up for grabs. These events wouldn’t be possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of our community, and your support helps us continue to fund valuable resources for our students. A special shout-out to our PTA for their tireless work behind the scenes.
Congratulations to our four Value Award winners this week! I had the absolute pleasure of taking them to the local bakery for a special treat as a reward for their outstanding embodiment of our school values. It’s moments like these that highlight the positive impact our values have on both individual students and the wider school community. Well done to all our recipients – keep up the amazing work!
Lastly, as we prepare for next week's visit from the Education Review Office (ERO), it’s a great time to reflect on the strengths of our school community. The ERO team will be here to observe the wonderful teaching, learning, and culture that make our school special. A big thank you to all staff, students, and families for their continued dedication to maintaining our high standards. We look forward to showcasing the best of what we do and continuing our journey of improvement.
Nga mihi,
