Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures
To ensure a safe and efficient drop-off and pick-up for everyone, please follow our school-wide procedures. Your cooperation helps maintain a smooth routine for all students.
A.M. Drop Off Procedures:
During AM drop off times, the front parking lot is closed. We encourage all families to utilize our drop off procedure rather than “the park and walk in” method. Our drop off method is designed to build independence and confidence of our students, provide a safe experience and is the most efficient method for the high volume of vehicles dropping off students. If you must, you can park on School Street and students can use Door 10 by School Street for a more convenient entry. The front lot is for staff parking only. If you need to park and come inside the main office, please use street parking, following traffic laws.
If you use the semi-circle in front of school to drop off, all vehicles should enter at the north end of the circle drive and exit at the south end. There will be one lane of traffic.
Pull up as far as possible toward the stop sign to let out your child. Each child should get out of the car on the curb side. Parents should remain in their cars as this will help the line to flow and prevent congestion. Staff will be out front to help students get out of their cars and into the building each morning.
All students must cross at the crosswalk in the front circle with an adult. We cannot allow students to cross through our staff parking lot alone.
If your child rides their bike to school, please make sure they walk their bike once they get on school property to prevent accidents. Please make sure they lock their bike up in the back of school at the bike racks. It is recommended that students share their combo with their teacher in case they forget it.
P.M. Procedures:
All vehicles using the front semi-circle should enter at the north end and exit at the south end; otherwise please feel free to use street parking, following traffic laws.
Please continue to pull all the way forward to allow for a continuous, safe flow of cars.
Parents will need to remain in their car when their student(s) enters the vehicle.
Staff will assist to ensure your child gets to your car safely.
Please remind your child to enter the car on the side of the school, if possible.
To avoid a bottleneck, please consider parking along School Street. Some areas are only drop off. Please follow street signs. Please do not park on Meadows Dr. The residential side of School Street is a public street- all traffic laws do apply. Please be aware of blocking the driveways of private homes- this is prohibited. By following, congestion around the building has been avoided, and a safer environment has been created for all children. The Rolling Meadows Police Department will enforce parking regulations strictly. Parents are urged to adhere to them.
Your child’s teacher will inform you of the door your child will come out of and any specific routes that may be applicable.
All students must cross at the crosswalk in the front circle with an adult. We cannot allow students to cross through our staff parking lot alone.
Walking to and from School/Crossing Guards: If your child walks to school, we have adult crossing guards that are provided by the Rolling Meadows Police Department. Please take advantage of these services at the following locations:
Kirchoff and Meadow
School Street and Meadow
Campbell and Meadow

Meet Our New Nurse
We are thrilled to welcome Nurse Veronica Franco to our school community. She brings a wealth of nursing experience to her role.
Please kindly drop off any needed forms and medications to our Nurse's Office any time between August 28th-September 4th during office hours. Please take a moment to review the important medical information below. We look forward to a healthy and positive school year!
All students new to District 15 will require a current physical exam with all immunizations up to date, and students new to the State of Illinois will require an eye examination. This form is available in the school office or online.
All students should provide proof of immunizations by October 15th or the student will be excluded from school. The list of current immunizations can be found on the district website.
Students with health conditions such as asthma, epilepsy/seizures, severe allergies, and diabetes require the emergency action plan completed by their physician along with the Medication Administration Forms, signed by the physician and parent, for any medications required at school. Please bring these forms and medications on or before the first day of school. These forms are available in the school office, online, and here.
Diabetic Medical Management Plans must be brought in along with medication and supplies prior to or on the first day of school in order for the student to attend. If your child requires any of these health documents and you have not done so already, please kindly make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding the above requirements, you may contact our school office or email francov@ccsd15.net

Cougars Celebrations
We are a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) school and strive to be kind and respectful community members. We expect all students and staff to model exceptional behavior through our motto: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. We recognize and celebrate our students’ successes with demonstrating exceptional behavior in the following ways:
Cougar Paws:
Students earn Paws when demonstrating behavior that goes above and beyond expectations.
Monthly, students will have an opportunity to trade in the PAWs at our school store for small trinket items and/or a variety of coupons of their choice (pajama day, lunch with the Principal, bring a stuffed animal to school etc).
Cougar Rallies
Monthly school behavior goals are set.
If goals are met, the school earns a school-wide celebration, ideas generated by students.
Classrooms are recognized for outstanding behavior by Specials teachers and areas outside the classroom.
Goal setting and recognizing expected behavior helps us increase positive behavior and unity. I am proud to share that again during the 2023-24 school year, our monthly school goals were met every month! We look forward to the same level of success this year! To support this goal, please continue to help us talk with your child about ways to spread kindness and strategies to use when solving problems.
