Demo Family Memo

Dear Families,

I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable spring break! We are excited to welcome our students back to school and are ready to get back into the flow of learning as we finish out the school year. There are only a few months left, so let's make them impactful as we continue working together to support our students' success.

Please take a moment to review this week’s newsletter. It contains important information, including the "60 Day" rule for senior students and families, which we encourage you to pay special attention to. Also, we’d like to highlight the need for Demo voices at our upcoming board meeting—more details can be found in the newsletter.

We are looking forward to a great start back tomorrow and continuing our journey together as a learning community!

A big thank you to Ms. Elliot for creating this wonderful video to honor some of our female-identified staff at Jefferson. We apologize for not featuring everyone, as we know there are so many incredible female-identified individuals who contribute so much to our community. This video is a small token of our appreciation for those who participated, and to all who identify, in celebration of Women's History Month.

"60 Day Rule" (beginning April 1st). Commencement disqualification: Requiring that seniors be disqualified from participation in commencement exercises and related activities if within 60school days of school they are found to be in violation of district Alcohol or Drug policy or any violation resulting in a three or more days of suspension or more serious disciplinary action. (Reference 4.30.020-AD) Be aware that all school pranks resulting in vandalism or disruption of the school day could also be a violation of this rule, and may result in not being allowed to participate in prom and/or graduation

Welcome back from Spring Break! As we return to school, we want to remind all students to have their Yondr pouches with them at all times while at Jefferson. Our Admin Team will be conducting random Yondr checks throughout the week to help get everyone back in the habit of keeping their devices secured.

Please be sure to carry your Yondr with you, as we continue to promote a focused and respectful learning environment.
