Success at Pittsfield High starts with attendance. School begins at 7:35 and ends at 2:30; we want to see all of our students from bell to bell every day. If you are struggling to get your student to school, please reach out to Madie Cook (mecook@pittsfield.net) on our Attendance Team for support.
Community Opportunities
Innovation Career Pathways
We are happy to announce that PHS has received the Innovation Pathway Designation for the Finance and Digital Communications Pathway and the Engineering and Technology Pathway. Innovation Career Pathways are designed to give students coursework and experience in a specific high-demand industry, such as information technology, engineering, healthcare, life sciences and advanced manufacturing. Innovation Career Pathways are designed to create strong partnerships with employers in order to expose students to career options and help them develop knowledge and skills related to their chosen field of study before they graduate high school. Along with the designation of the Innovation Career Pathway comes $75,000 in grant funds to build the programs. Thank you Tammy Gage, Christa Levesque, Tarah Lucier, Tamala Sebring, Heather Tierney, Tarynn Phippen, Jennifer Foley and Tricia Riley for the work on developing these pathways and application submission.
In addition to our two Innovation Career Pathways, we also have the Fine and Performing Arts Pathway and the Legal and Protective Services Pathways. These Pathways have been designed based on the requirements of the Innovation Career Pathways, and represent careers in high demand in the Berkshires. We are working with our teachers and community partners to develop additional Pathways!

Important information on Chromebooks
We no longer have Chromebooks to lend students in the building. It is very important that ALL students bring their charged Chromebooks to school everyday. Many classes require students to complete assignments on Chromebooks, and students without their Chromebooks will not able to complete their in class assignments. Students who wish to leave their Chromebook at school should see Ms. Cook in the main office for more information.
Please click here for directions on how to get a Chromebook replaced or repaired.
Academic Center for Excellence
What is ACE?
The Academic Center for Excellence is an academic support center that is a Tier II intervention at Pittsfield High School and is run by a licensed teacher.
The goal of ACE is to provide support to general education students for their classwork, study and organizational skills, time management, assignment and project completion and so much more.
Faculty, staff, families, and students may fill out a referral form designating what areas a student needs assistance with and a meeting will be scheduled.
Many students visit ACE on a weekly basis while others may request time as needed.
Providing this support to students encourages academic success, self-advocacy in the classroom and school community and lifelong learning skills.
