Lenox Elementary
Family Newsletter-March 4, 2021
Yesterday, HSD sent out communication regarding the most recent return to school planning update. Some highlights from that information are:
- Lenox's Hybrid start time will be 7:45am and our end time will be 12:00pm. This will obviously create some changes in the live session schedule for our CDL students. More info to come.
- Students in grades PreK-2 will attend school in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Whether or not they will attend school in person on Wednesdays is still being determined. We will have a final decision on that by our March 17 update.
- Students in grades 3-6 will attend school on Mondays and Thursdays if their last name begins with A-L, and on Tuesdays and Fridays if their last name begins with M-Z. Wednesday will remain an asynchronous Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) day, as it is now.

Meal Distribution Changes
As a reminder, meal distribution changes began Monday, Mar. 1, and will remain in place through Friday, Mar. 19.
All walk zone* meal deliveries will be made by vans or other designated vehicles, not school buses. (*Walk zone is within one mile of elementary schools.) School buses will continue to deliver meals outside of walk zones, similar to the method used in the spring of 2020. Many pick-up times will be different, so please review the walk zone and bus delivery stop lists for the schedule in your neighborhood.
Hybrid Busing Information
Families of students in grades PreK-2 who live outside of the walk zone and have indicated they need bus transportation will be contacted with routing information by Friday, Mar. 19. Bus routing information for students in higher grade levels will be provided at least one week in advance of their hybrid start date. If you have questions, please contact the Transportation department at 503-844-1123.
