The Mystic Learning Center would like to extend its gratitude to all of our generous donors this holiday season! There is no doubt this was the best Mystic Christmas yet!

Beginning with the Somerville Police Department, who nominated and selected MLC to be the recipient of the 'Fill the Cruiser' campaign in partnership with Target. Officers were posted outside of the Somerville Target for 3 weekends to elicit donations for our Mystic Community. Additionally, the Somerville Firefighters Local 76 selected us to receive donated toys and items that were brought to the Fire Stations. Boy, did the community deliver! MLC received HUNDREDS of toys and gifts for kids of all ages! We are so grateful for our local Police and Fire Departments and how involved with the community they are!

MLC also had countless donations come in from our Amazon Wish List created by the youth. Thank you to Somerville Parks and Recreation and all of the community members who mailed us the wish list items. We also received monetary donations that were used to purchase gift cards and specific items - thank you New England Security and individuals who donated cash and through Paypal!

Gisela and friends continued their annual tradition of taking on wish list items submitted from MLC parents. MLC gives a bag of wrapped gifts to each child in the home under 16 to spread cheer beyond our own Mystic Gift Giving Celebration and help make the Holiday season brighter at home.

Due to the outpouring of donated items, MLC was able to provide gifts to over 125 youth specifically in our Mystic community. We were also able to spread holiday cheer by donating to community agencies to help their efforts to make their families' holidays a little bit better, including Somerville Housing Authority, CAAS, YMCA, MAMAS, Volunteers of America, and more!
