The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

Here are a few ways to "Win the Day"

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!
• "Be Kind" - smile, say hello, look out for your fellow vikings! Remember - everyone is going through a battle we may not know.. Be Kind Always!

In order to finish strong for the 2024-2025 school year, Cerro Villa is encouraging students and staff to "Level Up" for the remainder of the year. "Leveling Up" means being better than we were in the beginning of the year. As we accumulate our "Win the Days", we are "Leveling Up"!

Cerro Villa is kicking off March with College and Career Week! CV encourages students to participate in the daily themed attire to highlight future endeavors.

8th grade class has an exciting week of activities to prepare for High School (see bullet points below)

MONDAY: "Our Future is Bright" - Wear sunglasses and bright shirts

TUESDAY: "Career Day" - Dress as a career or for a job interview

• VPHS CTE Fair for 8th grade students (students attend through PE class)
• Career Speaker Day for all CV students (36 guest speakers!)

WEDNESDAY: "College Spirit Day" - wear college attire or armed forces/camo shirts

• Counselors: Xello lesson on how to be successful in High School

THURSDAY: "Next Steps and Show your School Spirit" - wear VP or CV gear

• VP Roadshow postponed until March 27th

FRIDAY: "Dream Big" - Comfy Day

• VP Counselors visit 8th grade students to review HS course selection form

Homerooms are also creating College Pennants for the Classroom Doors!

CV has partnered with Villa Park High Schools National Honor Society students to assist with Homework help Tutoring. NHS tutors will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 122 to assist with Homework help. Please view schedule of subjects assisting with:

CV's next restaurant fundraiser is this Wednesday @ Panera Bread! Enjoy dinner and support CV!
