BES Run Club Fall 2022
Our Elementary Run Club had a great season. This year we had 31- 4th and 5th grade students participate. During our six week season we worked on our pace, our breathing and getting faster each time out. The students have enjoyed meeting new friends and staying active. We enjoyed the beautiful weather that this Fall has brought. We ended our season Tuesday, October 11th with a 2 mile fun run. The students did a great job! Thank you to all who came and helped cheer on the runners. We also want to thank the MS/HS Cross Country Team for coming and running with us a couple times. We always look forward to hanging with the “big” kids.
We want to thank our volunteers for their time investing in our students after school. We also want to thank our school community for continuing to support our club. We are looking forward to another season next year. Good luck to our 5th graders who will be moving up to the middle school next year. You will be missed, but you have a great opportunity to run on the cross country team. Anyone who would like to volunteer next year to help out with this club, please contact Mrs. Emily Krenz at the elementary school. We would love to be able to have two teams next year. Run, HUSKIES, Run!

Bond Updates
Bond projects that were to be completed during the summer are beginning to wind down. We've had our track work completed just in time for winter and it will be ready for track season next spring. Our MS gym roof has been replaced - unfortunately, during the process, the roof leaked, causing the floor to be damaged. It is not safe for student use for PE classes and practices. Insurance is covering the cost of replacement and we are having work begin over the next month to have the gym back up and running as soon as possible. The replacement of the floor should take approximately 6 weeks to complete.
During the winter months, there will be little work taking place other than making sure all of the summer projects are completed and finalized. We will have one final round of projects that will take place during the summer of 2023. The majority of these projects will take place during the summer months.
Thank you for your patience and support as we work to provide our staff, students, and community a great learning environment that our community can take pride in.
