Week Ten: Halloween Is On The Horizon π»π
We had a great week at Prairieview!!! Honestly it's hard not to when the playground looks so gorgeous. We are blessed to have such beauty right outside our windows. The students LOVED playing in the leaves this week too...such fall fun!!!
Wednesday we went pink for a great cause and WOW did we show up!!! Thank you to everyone who participated. It was wonderful to see a sea of pink in the hallways.
Friday was our rivalry day and it was another day of fun. There are pictures below and there will be even more pictures on our Facebook page so be sure to check it out.
Just a reminder that our doors unlock every morning at 8:20 a.m. and school starts at 8:25 a.m. We are starting to creep up there in our tardies every day so please try to get your student to school on time. Sometimes it can be something as simple as leaving your house five to ten minutes earlier in the morning. This will especially be important as the weather starts to change and our commute takes a little longer.
Please see below regarding Halloween. FIngers crossed the weather cooperates and we are able to celebrate with our Halloween parade. Final decision will be made at 1:00 p.m. that day.
Thank you for everything you do to make our school a success. We are seeing great things happen in and out of the classroom. Have a great weekend :)

ππ Halloween Parade ππ
Prairieview Elementary will be having a Halloween parade this year!!! The parade will be on Thursday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. Students will NOT wear their costumes to school on this day. They are to bring their costumes and will change into them prior to the parade.
Parents may come to the school at 1:45 p.m. to help students get into their costumes if necessary. Please remember to bring your license with you as you will need to get a visitor's badge. Please do not come before 1:45 p.m.
The parade will follow a path around the playground where families can line the sidewalks and watch their students. If you are staying outside of the building you will not need a visitor's badge.
If the weather does not cooperate we will not be having the parade. We will make this decision by 1:00 p.m. that day for planning purposes. This decision will be posted on Prairieview's Facebook page.
Important information to note: costumes CANNOT include any type of weapon (real or fake) and costumes should be merry...not scary :)
ππ PRAIRIEVIEW PINK OUT ππ
"We are family. Nobody fights alone".
Wednesday we wore pink in honor and support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It was a sea of pink in the building and we couldnβt have asked for a better show of support. Thank you PV family!!!
Go Blue ππ Go Green ππ
We had so much fun on Friday with our friendly rivalry. The students looked great in their favorite college colors.
We are still counting the change from the change wars and will announce the winner at the end of the day on Monday. It will be interesting to see if it coincides with the winner of the big game this weekend :).
Thank you to everyone who had fun with this and sent in change to support our PTO!!!

All students at Prairieview Elementary receive free breakfast and lunch. If your child would like an extra entree (example: two slices of pizza on Friday) they can be purchased for $2.25. This needs to be communicated and paid for when they order lunch in the morning so the lunchroom can plan accordingly. Milk is also available for $0.70 for those that carry a cold lunch.
