Message from the Headmaster: As we approach November, we would like to remind everyone to stay alert and drive safely near the school. Many students and adults are in the area during both pick-up and drop-off times. Please be respectful at all times. I understand everyone is in a hurry, but let’s take care of one another. Remember, we are all part of the same community.

School Photo: If your son was absent when the photos were taken, he is automatically signed up for Photo Retake Day on Thursday, November 14. If you would like your son’s photo to be redone, please send Ms. Manal an email by Monday, November 11 to register him for Retake Day. More information will be sent to participants as the day approaches.

ES Parent Student Teacher Conferences ~ November 21 and November 22

Micro ouvert: Lundi 16 décembre prochain aura lieu le premier Micro ouvert de l'année. Les garçons de la 1re à la 6e année sont invités à préparer un court texte en français (maximum 1 minute). Il peut s'agir d'un extrait de roman, d'un poème, d'une histoire, d'une scène de théâtre, d'une fable, d'un court texte à propos d'une passion, d'une idole, d'une personne influente, etc. Les inscriptions sont jusqu'au 2 décembre. Les places sont limitées! Les textes écrits par les élèves sont grandement encouragés! Les élèves bien préparés pour présenter leur texte augmentent leur chance d'être sélectionnés pour cet évènement. NOUVEAUTÉ: Pour la 1re fois, les parents des élèves qui présentent sont invités à venir assister au Micro ouvert! Comme à l'habitude, des photos seront prises et les prestations seront filmées. Bonne préparation!

Holiday Bazaar at SHS December 5: With the holiday season just around the corner, the PVA is excited to announce it is organizing its first Holiday Bazaar on Thursday December 5! Keeping sustainability in mind, after the November break the PVA will start collecting gently used items including toys, games, puzzles, holiday decorations and more, for resale to students and family members in a holiday market format. All the money raised will benefit Resilience Montreal, a non-profit day shelter. It's a great opportunity for parents to get involved! Sign up if you can contribute baked goods and/or volunteer for a shift. Items can be dropped off at the school's front desk starting Monday November 11th. Mid-Term Break Camp News: Due to insufficient interest, we can not offer a mid-term break camp this year. We thank those that did respond, and we appreciate your support and engagement in all of our programs. We will continue to explore new opportunities and activities for our students, including other camp options in the future.

Re-enrollment 2025-26: As November 1 is fast approaching, we would like to remind you to secure your son's enrollment for the 2025-2026 academic year. Please sign (electronically) and submit the online re-enrollment form by Friday, November 1. We initially emailed families on Tuesday, October 15, with a mySelwyn link to complete the form. If you haven’t done so already, we kindly ask that you submit the form as soon as possible to assist with our planning, as we currently have waitlists for most grades.
