Berkeley County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacqueline L. Orrence as principal of Hedgesville Elementary School.
Ms. Orrence joins the HES administration following 27 years of experience as a professional educator, and more than two decades of experience as a school administrator; most recently serving as an assistant principal for Montgomery County Schools, Maryland.
Ms. Orrence is a 1985 graduate of The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. She also holds a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and a certification in Administration & Supervision from Hood College.
"I am super excited to join the Hedgesville community and have this opportunity to lead the largest and highly successful elementary school in West Virginia," said Orrence. "I am committed to enhance strong relationships within the school community and to make positive connections with staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders."

"Her expertise and dedication will ensure that every student receives the support they deserve to thrive academically and personally."
