What's Happening This Week:
🍁🍂 Welcome to another exciting week in Ms. Kuhn's Classroom! 🍂🍁
As the leaves change and the air gets crisper, our classroom is buzzing with energy and curiosity. We have some fantastic activities lined up for the week, and we can't wait to share them with you!
📚 Next Week's Learning Adventures 📚
Phonics Fun: This week, we will dive into final consonant blends and expand our sight word vocabulary. Here are some words you can practice at home: plant, want, bump, lamp, land, hand, bank, and pink. Let's make spelling and reading these words a fun family activity!
Reading Explorations: In Reading, we will explore central ideas and supporting details in informational texts. Encourage your child to look at the cover and pictures of their books, think of questions before reading, and discuss these questions after reading. Ask them about the characters, setting, problem, solution, and the sequence of events. This will help deepen their understanding and make reading more interactive!
Writing Wonders: We are embarking on our first full writing assignment focused on Personal Narratives. Your child has chosen a special moment from their life to write about. Please chat with them about their chosen event and help them recall the details. This will be a wonderful way to support their writing journey!
Math Marvels: We will continue with Unit Two, where students will learn about addition and subtraction using numerals up to 10. They will practice counting on to solve addition problems and counting back to solve subtraction problems using a number line. ➕➖

📌 Things to Remember 📌
Phonics Practice: Spend a few minutes each day practicing the sight words and final consonant blends.
Reading Routine: Continue the habit of discussing the book's cover, taking a picture walk, and asking questions before and after reading.
Writing Support: Talk with your child about their personal narrative topic to help them remember the details and make their story come alive.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's learning journey. Together, we can make this a fantastic and fruitful week!
