We are starting to prepare for our annual Fund Run. Fundraising starts November 6, 2023 with our run taking place on November 17, 2023. This year we will be having a Color Run, where all students will run at a designated time on the half day.

All proceeds from this event will be used to purchase new playground equipment for our school!

The steps to the process are as follows:

1. Visit us! Attend OPEN HOUSE ON NOVEMBER 5, schedule a tour, register for Crusader for a Day!
2. Gather Documents. The following documents are required for the application to be considered complete: birth certificate, 7th and 8th grade report cards to date, Immunization record (DH 680). Additional documents: Baptism, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation certificate, if applicable.
3. Apply Online. The application will open on October 25 and the deadline is January 17.
4. High School Placement Test. All 9th grade applicants are required to take the HSPT as part of the admissions process. The link to register for this test will be sent in the confirmation email once the application is submitted. Two testing dates will be offered on December 2 and January 20 – students may only take this test once.
5. Interview. An interview may be required as part of the admissions process.
6. Admissions Decision. Students will be notified of their decision by the end of February.
7. Enroll!

-Being out in the sun, unprotected, is more dangerous if you have moles or very fair skin or hair.

-Moles, brown spots and growth on the skin are usually harmless- but not always.

-Anyone who has more than 100 moles or one or more unusual looking or atypical moles is at a greater risk for serious skin conditions and should see a dermatologist for regular skin checks.

-Use ABCDEs of mole to help detect dangerous moles:

A- Asymmetrical- the two sides don’t match

B- Border is uneven

C- 2 or more Colors

D- Diameter is larger than ¼’

E- Evolving or changing in size, shape, color or another trait

PCA uses a Virtues in Practice Program. Each month we focus on a specific virtue and different grade levels learn about a saint who exemplifies that virtue. At the end of month, there will be a family assignment to complete about the virtue.

October's virtue of the month is: STUDIOUSNESS. Studiousness is seeking knowledge to grow closer to Truth.

grades 3-5: St. Thomas Aquinas

grades 6-8: St. Edith Stein
