Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, it was wonderful to welcome so many parents and carers into school to share pupil books with you. I hope that this gave you the opportunity to talk through some of the learning with your children and see just how well they are progressing in the curriculum. I’m sure that you’ll agree, the standard of learning and presentation of work is exceptional. If you do have any questions about the learning that you were unable to ask at the time, or have thought about afterwards, please do contact your child’s class teacher who will be more than happy to help.
Year 6 Teacher Takeover Day
On Wednesday, our Year 6 pupils had the opportunity to apply to become a staff member for the day. The role involved the pupils dressing as the staff member and shadowing them in their line of work. As always, this day proved to be hilarious with the children going all-out with their costumes and taking their roles seriously. I witnessed pupils teaching classes, supporting the office ladies and helping Jim, our caretaker, carry out all his jobs and I had a mini Mrs Adams attend a meeting and monitor classrooms. The day gives the children the opportunity to learn a little about the world of work, develop leadership skills and build confidence. It really was a very successful day. Thank you to all parents who supported with providing costumes and buying wigs!
Children in Need
Thank you once again for all the support you gave for Children in Need last week. I am extremely proud to share that we raised a total of £484.86 This is a great amount of money for this very worthy charity. Thank you again.
