BEA ESP of the Year

Congratulations to our ESP of the Year, Katharine Cross, Community Schools Coordinator at Garfield Elementary.

The submissions from her co-workers spotlight an amazing ESP that goes above and beyond, not just in her school, but in her community. Some of her outstanding contributions include: "[...] spends her evenings and weekends making sure students have rides to soccer practices, delivers food boxes to families with no means of transportation, she shows and walks our new ELD families to the bus stop on their first day at Garfield [...]."

"She is loved and trusted by our Garfield families and community. Families know they can trust Katharine as she always treats everyone with dignity and respect. We all rely on her and appreciate the work she does and the person she is. She is an example for us all."

Upcoming Professional Development

The BEA ESP Steering Committee will be hosting a special workshop next spring for all classified members to attend. We'll have a range of classes available for you to choose from. Keep your eyes open for more information as it becomes available!

F&O Summer Picnic

The BEA ESP Steering Committee was happy to join in on the fun with our Facilities and Operations staff this summer. We had an amazing time speaking with and providing dessert from Stella's ice cream. The BEA also provided raffle opportunities for several classified staff.
