Important PSSA Information

As Spring approaches so do PSSA’s for grades 3rd -6th. Mrs. Nolan ; our PSSA Building Coordinator would like to remind you as you are planning doctor’s appointments, vacations and other activities for your child, please be mindful of the PSSA Dates:

English Language Arts (ELA) Testing Dates: April 9th to 11th (12th and 13th are Make-Up dates)

Math Testing Dates: April 16th and 17th (18th -20th are Make-Up dates)

Science Testing Dates (4th grade only): April 23rd and 24th (25th-27th are Make-Up Dates)

Make-Up Week Testing Dates: If your child was not able to make up the test at an above date they will be required to make up the test the week of April 30th-May 4th.

Family, Fitness, and Glowsticks! A Great Night!

Linden Family Fitness Night extended healthy messages from school to home and educated families about the importance of physical fitness. Our Family Fitness Circuit exposed students and families to fun and easy physical activities that can be enjoyed together at home. GLOWGA (yoga in the dark with glow sticks) was an opportunity to showcase Mrs. Williams's mindfulness through yoga initiatives so parents can understand how she's empowering students be present, self aware and recognize the power of their breath with movement to self regulate. We certainly lit up the MPR with our glow sticks and energy!

Irun4life starts this Thursday, March 22 right after school! Don’t forget to wear comfortable sneakers and bring a water bottle! Pick-up is in the gym at 5:00 pm!

Tickets now on sale for the Harlem Wizards!

Come watch the Linden teachers and staff battle it out on the basketball court against the Harlem Wizards!! The game will take place on Monday, April 23rd at 6:30pm at CB West. Doors open at 5:30pm. SWEETHEART DANCE TICKETS

Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Sweetheart Dance at Linden on Friday, May 4th. The cost will be $20/family. Please click here for more information and details on how to order tickets!

Order NOW, before you forget! DEADLINE is April 20th to be guaranteed a yearbook.

The cost is the same as last year: $14

Order online through Memory Book. This is a free and very simple service.

STEP 1: Visit www.online-pay.memorybook.com/parent

STEP 2: Enter your pay code 87632 and click next

STEP 3: Buy a yearbook for $14.00

OR: Put your name, your child's name, and teacher's name on an envelope with a check made out to LHSA. Submit to the office or with your child to bring to their teacher.

ANNOUNCING THE WINNER OF THE SPRING BOX TOP CONTEST...

Congratulations to Mrs. Mooney’s class!!

Mrs. Mooney’s class collected 870 box tops this spring!

Thank you to everyone else who sent in box tops throughout the year!!

Even the smallest amount from each student makes a big difference in the end.

Our Spring school total was 3,700 Box Tops or $370.

With our Spring and Fall contests this year our school made $935!

COMMUNITY ART DISPLAY AT REPRESENTATIVE QUINN'S OFFICE

Families and friends came out to support Linden students and the arts. Representative Marguerite Quinn celebrated the students by presenting them an Achievement Award in Art and recognizing their excellence in the 4 A’s- Art, Academics, Athletics, and Attitude.
