DR. WARFIELD'S INTERNSHIP VISIT TO MUNFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL
It's great to see our former students mentoring our new students. Dr. Kimberly Warfield visited Munford Middle School this month. A former student, Mrs. Blair Steffens in the middle of photo, completed our Instructional Leadership program a few years ago and is now a principal. Mrs. Steffens is mentoring one of Dr. Warfield's current students in her last internship (Ms. Brianna Hopkins). Mrs. Steffens was very complementary of our program.
IT'S A BOY x 2!
Congratulations to our boy moms! We celebrated Levi Thompson and Beckett Madrigal with a shower for their moms - Courtney Christopher and Hanna Madrigal.
FEATURED FACULTY MEMBER OF THE MONTH - MR. TORSTEN DRYDEN
Torsten A. Dryden, Ed.S., LPC, CEAP, NCC, is a Visiting Instructor for Counselor Education courses in the Department of Professional Counseling & Instructional Support. He is currently finishing his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision through the University of the Cumberlands. During his doctoral coursework, he completed his doctoral internship with Jax State, eventually leading to adjunct work and beyond. He personally sees his current position as a way to give back to the program that provided many professional experiences throughout the years.
Torsten also provides professional mental health services to children and adults throughout the community through Dryden Counseling, LLC, as a Licensed Professional Counselor. When he is not working with graduate students or providing professional counseling, he can often be found spending time with family, working out at UREC, or writing music. Go Gamecocks!
