Little Lancer Lowdown
“Where Learners are Grown with Pride!”
April 2024
Dear Little Elba Lancer Families,
As winter weather leaves and the outside begins to blossom and we finally see more of the sun, we are very excited for the season of spring and all of the fun that it brings. Over the next few months of school and warmer weather, our students will be taking full advantage of the beautiful weather by various outdoor activities. We're looking forward to embracing all the joys that spring has to offer and creating unforgettable memories with your children. Let's make the most of this beautiful season together!
For students in grades 3-8, April 10th and 11th will bring the NYS CBT ELA assessment. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.
Thank you for being a partner in your child's education! As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns!
With Lancer Pride,
~Mrs. Jessica Cramer
Page Turners Competition
Congratulations to all of the students involved in Page Turners. They have worked so hard this year and have competed better each time! Thank you Mrs. P for providing this opportunity to students and for helping to instill the love of reading!
Reading Week was a Success!
Monday: Generation Day - dress as your Favorite Era
Tuesday: Hobbies and Talents - dress to represent your favorite hobby or talent
Wednesday: Cozy up and Read - wear pjs or comfy clothes
Thursday: Cultural Heritage Day - dress to represent your heritage
Friday: Book Character Day - dress as your favorite book character or Celebrity from a Biography
Students read at home to earn tickets for prizes. Mrs. Quinn and Mrs. Matos organized the Read-a-thon for Student Council which had almost 60 students stay after to read in the small gym. These students asked for donations for the Read-a-thon to raise money for all of the activities the Elementary Student Council provides for our Little Elba Lancers.
Check out our coloring contest winners and some pictures from the week!
