Today, we discussed modern-day heroes, including famous individuals and family members. If you would like to continue the conversation at home, check out the slides and video from today's assembly.
CELL PHONES AND SMART WATCHES ON CAMPUS
More and more students are bringing cell phones and/or smart watches to school, so it is a good time to remind everyone of the rules and regulations related to these devices:
- A cell phone and/or a smart watch may be carried to school and at school-sponsored activities. However, cell phone usage is restricted to before and after school and at school-sponsored activities as long as they do not create a distraction or disruption.
- It is a student’s responsibility to ensure that cell phones and/or a smart watch are turned off and out of sight during during school hours. This means that the devices need to be students' backpacks. Alternatively, phones and/or watches can be kept in the office between 8:15 and 2:40.
- The Union School District shall not assume responsibility for theft, loss, or damage of a cell phone and/or smart watch.
