Snack Time

Students are encouraged to bring a snack for the mid-morning slump. To support our students during snack time, please follow these guidelines:

1. Easy to Eat: Choose snacks that are not messy (avoid yogurt or liquids for K-2)
2. Low in Added Sugar: Opt for snacks with minimal added sugars

Suggested Snack Ideas

• Fruits: Apples, bananas
• Vegetables: Carrot sticks, cucumber slices
• Whole Grains: Rice cakes, whole grain crackers & cheese
• Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts
• Dried Fruits: Raisins or dried apricots (in moderation)
• Fruit and Granola Bars

Field Trips

If you are interested in joining your student on any field trips this year, you must complete volunteer paperwork here: https://kpbsd.org/departments/assistant-superintendent/instructional-services/hr/volunteer/. The process can take up to 2 weeks so please plan ahead.

Help Wanted!!

We are in need of a custodian again this year. The position is 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. There is also an opportunity to be a substitute custodian. In that position, you can work up to 5 days per week or as few as 1. Substitutes

Cooper Landing School is in need of substitutes for all positions: teacher, instructional aide, special education aide, secretary, and custodian. A teaching certificate is not required.

Students will once again be able to wear their costumes on Halloween. Please speak to your student(s) teacher to set your conference time this month on the dates indicated below.

TOT TIME: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday weekly 9:00AM - 11:00AM (except on days school is not in session)

Food Bank Deliveries? If you family has need for food, please speak with your community members and listen up for information. Barb Bureau had food delivery information which stated one may be coming up soon.
