Gratitude & empathy are the two character traits we are focused on rolling into February. There are fun family events coming up this semester starting with our family game night. Details for this event are below.

Gratitude & Empathy

We have had many jackets in our cafeteria for months. Whatever is left in the cafeteria on February 9 will be donated to Chrissy's Closet. Please encourage your student to look through them if they are missing one (we have been giving the same encouragement at school). February 8 is Game Night-they will be up, so if you come to Game Night, go through the rack with your kiddo(s) and grab their jacket(s).

There was an unfortunate event happen to one of our CG families this week with losing their house and all belongings in a house fire. We would like to ask for help and support for this family.

We will be having a hat day this Friday, 2nd, for $1 for students.

Next Friday, 9th, we will be having a pajama day for $1.

All proceeds will go to this family.

If you would like to donate gift cards to a store in town where they can get items they need immediately, this is welcomed too.

They are also in need of clothes. If you feel like you can help purchase any of the sizes or items below or send in nice, gently used clothes, we will have a box at the front office for donated items.

They are a family of 6. Socks and underwear are needed for everyone. Sizes for their kids are listed below if you have or can get anything to help out.

Feb 6 will be a closed campus morning until 11:00 am due to state field testing. Please refrain from scheduling appointments this morning and/or dropping off late or picking up early. Appreciate your help.

-The Nothing Bundt Cakes forms are due this FRIDAY, February 2. Be sure to order online or have your child turn in their form to their advisory teacher by then! All orders will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, February 13 between 3-6 pm.

-Spirit Night at Texas Roadhouse is Monday, February 26 from 3-9 pm. Come out and dine on your favorite Roadhouse foods and support CG PTO! You MUST bring in the flyer!

-Our annual Food Drive benefiting the Brazos Valley Food Bank kicks off on Monday, February 12 and runs through Friday, February 16. During this week, students can donate food items and money. We will have a contest between 5th and 6th grades to see who can donate the most items. The winning grade will receive a fun prize! More to come on this event!

-If you are interested in serving in a role on the CG PTO board, please contact Heather Bush at 713-823-9493. The board is looking for volunteers to help with social media support, volunteering at school activities, and organizing events in the spring.

The Dyslexia Parent Professional Development meeting scheduled for Jan. 23 has been rescheduled to Feb. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the CSISD Boardroom.

NEW capabilities in HAC for parents to access students’ STAAR scores without the hassle of having their students’ unique access code.
