NWMS Parent Weekly Update

Good afternoon,

Please continue to keep Mr. Luck in your thoughts as he recovers from a tragic accident. Mr. Luck is at home and is recovering but will continue to need support as he transitions back to the classroom in the weeks to come.

We want to welcome Mrs. Hillis to our 6th grade team. Mrs. Hillis will be teaching 6th Grade Science!

We are currently searching for a school treasurer. If you know someone with a strong background in finances that would be interested in this job please ask them to apply online via the GCS website. They can also reach out directly to me at francid2@gcsnc.com.

Last week all students completed their Interim Assessments for ELA, Math, and Science! We also have completed and finalized all grades from Quarter 1. Report Cards will be emailed to all parents on 11/14.

Wrestling and Basketball tryouts begin Mon., Nov. 18 after school until 5:45pm. Students trying out will report to the locker room after school, then report to the coach. All paperwork is due by 8:30 am Nov. 18. Paperwork can be turned in before the 18th. Required paperwork is the completed history form, physical form which are good for 395 days and a new completed concussion form due each school year. Please make sure each form is signed and dated. Students will not be able to try out without the completed paperwork.
