Meet the Counselor
August 2024
Be Kind: We Are GPISD
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
My name is Beverly Green, and I am your counselor this year! This is my 24th year in education, and my 8th year as the school counselor at Moseley. It is an absolute joy for me to talk to, connect with, and help you and your students. I want our students to think of my office as a warm and friendly place, where they are always welcomed and valued. Moseley is a great school, but our students and families face many challenges while they are here. Please know that you have an ally and an advocate in me. Feel free to contact me throughout the year should you need any assistance. I look forward to working with each of you! It is going to be a great year!
What I Do
SERVICES PROVIDED
I have the pleasure of working with every single student in the school. I work with students at the classroom level, small group level, and the short-term individual counseling level. I also meet with parents, collaborate with teachers, and staff, and consult with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Moseley students and families.
CLASSROOM GUIDANCE LESSONS
These lessons will be presented in the classroom for students and will teach developmentally appropriate, preventative lessons to all children.
GROUP COUNSELING
Group counseling is provided for small groups of students experiencing similar concerns. These may include making and keeping friends, anger management, coping with separation/divorce and or loss, getting organized/study skills and/or improving self-esteem. The groups generally range from 4 to 6 students and last for 4 to 6 sessions. The students for these groups can be recommended by parents/guardians or by staff members.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Short term one-on-one counseling support is available to all students. Students may self-refer or be referred to the counselors by teachers/staff and/or parents.
Confidentiality is respected.
CONSULTATIONS
I am available to have meetings with teachers, administrators and/or parents to discuss the needs of individual students. I am here for all students and want to ensure that your child has a productive and positive school year. If I can support you or your child in anyway, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
