Florida High SChool MUN States Conference Results
At the beginning of March Scott O., Madison D., Avari M. and Alexis D. participated in Florida High-schools Model United Nations, State FHSMUN 40 Conference. The conference lasted 4 action packed days. There were 297 delegates at this State Level conference. All of the students learned about global and political topics while collaborating with others to solve real world issues in a Mock United Nations setting.
This conference required the students to research, analyze, and debate. Avari participated in the World Health Organization dealing with topics such as pandemics. Scott and Madison were part of the UN General Assembly. Alexis represented China in the Security Council. Security Council members were called back in late Saturday night for a Mock Crisis. The group worked until after 2:00 AM to offer solutions for this issue at hand.
We are so proud of these delegates. Our team worked very hard, brought back an award for “Distinguished Delegation” due to Alexis and Avari’s representation of China.
Alexis received “Outstanding Diplomat” for her work as China in Security Council including the crisis situation. These both, are a top honor awards from the conference.
