GSA Ramp Up
Beginning the week after next, students will take the West Virginia General Summative Assessment. I'm asking if parents and guardians would take extra care the next two weeks by making sure students get good night's rest, proper breakfast at school or at home, and attend school each day. Students will be reviewing test-taking strategies this upcoming week in preparation for the assessment.
Staff Appreciation Cards
Each student was given a card for Staff Appreciation Week to fill out about a staff member of their choosing if they would like to participate. I'm asking if parents and guardians would encourage your student to write a note to staff member to help celebrate those that make a difference in the life of your student. Thank you!
Dress Code Reminder
As the weather gets warmer, please take a moment to review the BCS Dress Code.
The highlights are below:
Shirts must cover the entire back and midriff area at all times
Shirts must cover the top of the shoulders with a minimum of 2” wide straps
Clothing must not be see-through
No undergarments should be visible
Shorts, skirts, skorts, and dresses must be worn in such a manner as to:
Cover the mid-thigh when sitting down and be at least long enough to meet the tip of the student’s longest finger when the student is standing with arms down at their sides.
Medication Reminder
Please be reminded students are not allowed to have any medication such as over-the-counter or prescription medication at school without a physician's order. That includes cough drops, antibiotics, Tylenol, etc.
