Colrain Central School News
September 11, 2020
Amy Looman, principal
The first day of school for students is September 16, 2020.
Food Service
School lunches will be available for curbside pickup beginning on Wednesday. Meals will be distributed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You will receive two meals on Monday, two on Wednesday, and one on Friday. Please help us ensure that we have enough meals by clicking on this link to register your child(ren). Please complete one registration form per child.
Students who are in the building for either the high needs program or using the remote hub space will be able to get their meals on a daily basis. We do still need them to be registered, however, so please complete the registration form for each of them as well.
The menu can be found on the school's website.
Log-in Information and How to
If you haven't already, you will be receiving your child's log in information in the mail. The district is using the Google Suite for our online educational platform. All students will be involved with Google Meet and have a Google Classroom. They will only be able to log in to those with their district issued username/password. If they have not already, they will get an invitation in their email to join their Google Classroom. Some teachers may use additional apps/programs which they will share with you.
If you're not sure how/where to access those, I want to share some information that Ms. Martin put together for her class.
How To Log Your Child in to GSuite for Education and Access Google Classroom
type classroom.google.com into the URL bar at the top of your page
you should see an option to join Google Classroom- click on that button
a window should pop up asking for email address and password. This HAS to be your child’s Mohawk-issued email and password.
Select “student” if that option pops up.
In the next window you’ll need to join a class. Click on the “+” icon in the upper right of the screen. You’ll be asked for the class code which your child's teacher will provide.
You should now see your child's Google Classroom. This is “mission control” for our remote learning experience.
The Google Meet link at the top of the classroom stream page is the same link we’ll use for all our sessions, unless the kids are doing a small group “breakout” session.
