Dear Florence Parents/Guardians:

I hope everyone was able to enjoy Thanksgiving break with their families. This semester has gone so fast and it's hard to believe there are only three more weeks of school in 2024.

Each year, the Nebraska Department of Education ranks school with the AQuestt system. I am happy to say that Florence has been ranked as a "Good" school. We are proud of this and it truly shows that Florence is an awesome place. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. We do need your help with one thing- Attendance. The state monitors school attendance very closely and we need to improve in this area. Please be sure to send your child to school unless they are ill or there is a family emergency. Attendance truly does matter!

Please note that report cards will go home with students on Thursday, December 19. These will be final grades for 2nd quarter. We will begin our 3rd quarter when we return in January.

I hope everyone has a wonderful winter break. Please take some time to relax and enjoy your family. We will see students after break on Monday, January 6.

Students who follow the 3 B's and complete their work for the month of December, will be invited to a cookie decorating party. Let's all follow the 3 B's (Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe) and complete our work so we can attend!
