We have so many things to celebrate already this year! We are off to a great start and will only continue to get better!
- Our Leader In Me focus for this year will be service learning.
- Students are already setting goals and working on steps to achieve them.
- Students have shared ideas through synergy clubs on how to improve our school.
- Teachers are focused on improving interventions so that every student focuses on skills they need.
π We hope to continue to grow this list of accomplishments as the year goes on!π
- Mrs. Ehler π

How our teachers are improving Reading instruction
Our struggling readers in K-3 just wrapped up Fall tutoring, where 10 groups of students got small group instruction after school where skills they needed were taught. We will have another session of tutoring in the spring.

Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program
Attendance is IMPORTANT!
A student is considered "chronically absent" when they miss 2 days a month. Mrs. Ehler, Ms. Schuller, Mrs. Cochran, and Nurse Jobman review attendance once a week. This team reviews how often students are gone, who needs extra support, and why students are missing school.
Excused absences are not the same as exempt! Exempt absences do not count against a student's attendance record. These include school activities and other rare circumstances. Excused absences might include doctor's appointments, family vacations, or even leaving for other sibling's school events. These do count against the student's absentees numbers. We report all of our excessive absences to the county attorney and to the Nebraska Department of Education.
ππ½ Important Reminders
Pick Up and Drop Off Procedures
- Please remember when you are picking up or dropping off your student, please do not park behind any of the staff vehicles. If you plan to remain in your car, it is alright to pull through the circle, but if you plan to get out and walk with your student, we ask that you park in the lot. We have had a few staff members needing to leave the school and are unable to because cars are parked behind them, blocking them in. This is a safety concern, we appreciate your cooperation.
