It was a pleasure to see our students and their families at our Sixth Grade Orientation and Open House in late August. Thank you for attending these two important school events!

The Cohen School faculty and staff were excited to greet students on the first day of school. We are proud of our students for all their efforts the first two weeks of school and we look forward to a great fall.

Fall sports are underway. Middle school football played two games on their schedule so far. Soccer, field hockey and cross-country had their first games this week. Go Eagles!

Clubs and activities are stating up as well. A late bus is available to Cohen students Monday- Thursday, so everyone can stay after and join a club! Students should listen to the daily announcements to hear what is being offered.

Band, Chorus and Orchestra rehearsals will begin next week. Rehearsals take place in the morning before school. Please reach out to Mr. Gebhart (Band), Mr. Bell (Orchestra) or Mrs. Holsapple (Chorus) with any questions.

Students have been using their school issued laptop to support their learning during the school day. Laptop take-home began this week. Laptop expectations have been reviewed with students and here are a few highlights -

• Laptops are for educational purposed only.
• Laptops need to be in school daily with a full charge. Don't forget to charge at night!
• Laptops should always remain in the case when transporting.

The summer of 2024 was a busy one at William S. Cohen. Here are a few building projects that took place during the summer of 2024:

• The construction of the PCHC Health Clinic was underway all summer and is nearly complete. PCHC staff is aiming for a start date in early October.
• The first phase of our Indoor Air Quality project wrapped up in late August. The second phase of project will be completed next summer.
