The WJHS Panther Pride Newsletter
Nov. 1, 2024
Principals Newsletter
Dear Panther Families,
And just like that, we blinked, and it's already November. It’s the month where days grow shorter, the trees start shedding their last leaves, and there’s a gentle crispness in the air that carries a hint of winter. It’s a time for cozy sweaters, warm drinks, all while wrapping up the final chapters of the year.
We are half way through the first semester, and looking forward to a great second half.
No School
There is no school Monday November 4, or Tuesday November 5.
Hope you have a wonderful and relaxing four-day weekend!
Family Literacy Game Night
Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, November 14! Our students have been working incredibly hard to put together this student-led event. Enjoy games, prizes, food for purchase, and more! Bring the whole family to support our students and celebrate all their hard work in bringing this event to WJHS!"

Important Reminder from the Nurse
If your child texts you to request a pick-up due to feeling unwell, please direct them to visit the nurse. Students MUST see the nurse to assess whether they should go home, and if that is necessary, the nurse will contact you. We ask that you wait for her call before coming to pick up your child.
You can reach the nurse anytime at 630-468-8234.

Students who display the three pillars of expectations (Safety, Respect, and Responsibility) earn tickets that are entered into our weekly raffle drawings . If you are able to partner with us in this positive behavior initiative and donate a prize, it would be greatly appreciated. Items that have been donated already are snacks, $5 giftcards, teenage items from the Dollar Store (notebooks, gel pens, Etch A Sketch, Rubics Cubes) and monetary donations for us to purchase items. Huge THANK YOU to those of you that have already brought in donations!!
