Message from Principal Bacon
Dear RCP Families,
On Monday, January 20th our country will honor a true American hero: Martin Luther King Jr. Here are a couple of my favorite MLK Jr. quotes.
“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek but means by which we arrive at that goal.”
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically”
Leadership Opportunity: The success of any school relies heavily on the partnership with parents and community. The RCP Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a critical partner in supporting, guiding and advocating for our kids and school. Please consider a leadership role in our PTO. More details below.
VDLI Prospective Parent Informational Meetings: February 12th through March 12th is the Elementary School Lottery and families interested in entering their kindergartener into our Vietnamese Dual Language Immersion program are strongly encouraged to attend one of our informational meetings.

NEWS FROM THE RCP GARDEN
These were installed over the break thanks to the design, planning and carpentry contributions of parents Sylvan Cambier and Jon Lien! The materials were paid for by the ODE grant. We're excited to see how Kelsi and the students can experiment with these to keep the harvest going over the winter, and start seeds a little earlier in the spring.
